FAQ

How can I join your team?

Offshore Translation is permanently in search of talent.
If you are:

  • a specialist translator;
  • a specialist in marketing, publicity or referencing;
  • a contractor;
  • …

and wish to take part in the development of Offshore Translation in an offshore jurisdiction, send us your application accompanied by you CV to recruit[at]offshore-translation[dot]com or, better still, complete our on-line form in order to be included on our data base.

Taking into account our policy of recruiting professionals, it is very important that you state your professional experience and particular skills which confer upon you a unique profile.

Who are your translators?

Half our translators are professional translators, to whom we entrust the translation or the proofreading of documents which correspond to their sector of specialization.
The other half of our teams are made up of "occasional" translators who bring a professional expertise when we are at the stage of rereading and for the validation of terminologies.

The prior guarantees compliance with the code of practice of translation (respect for the original text in particular). Their experience, coupled with certain specific tools, makes it possible to tight deadlines.
The latter guarantees terminology.

We therefore have daily recourse to lawyers and financial specialists. Although these two fields represent more than 50% of our activity, we also work with doctors or engineers when technical documents require their skills.

Which after-sales service do you offer?

All the services which we perform are done by people. Where the rigour and reliability of the machine cannot support us or replace us, we are not safe from errors, although all steps are taken to limit them. Offshore Translation is committed to correction or retranslation and does verything possible to satisfy its customer.

In addition, since we wish to build a partner relationship between you and ourselves, we will keep you regularly informed of any development of our company by newsletter.
With 86 % return clientele, our track record speaks for itself.

If you wish, we can also store and file free of charge your documents for several years.

What guarantees of quality do you have?

Offshore Translation capitalises on the experience and stringency of its founders, directors and translators to guarantee the quality process is put in place.
Our method is simple and rigorous, from the selection by tests that classify translators according to experience, competence, specialization, availability and ability to respect deadlines. This process of recruitment is crucial to the success of a specialist translation office.
All the translators selected are professionals who work solely in their mother tongue. The required criterion to belong to Offshore Translation is a strong specialization in a given field (as translator or as player in the sector) or studies ensuring the knowledge and full comprehension of the profession.

In order to guarantee effective transmission of your requirements to the translator during the management of your project, your representative has the dual function of being a client representative and project manager. He will therefore be there to direct you technically and inform you constantly about the progress of your project.

Lastly, we perfectly understand the requirement of confidentiality for your documents and we stand by our commitment already given to you for their confidentiality.

What are your delivery times?

Our delivery times are dictated by your requirements. A professional translator can translate up to 10 pages per day, according to the technicality of the documents provided.
The number of translators who work on the project is thus determined by individual performances, the technicality of the documents, the deadlines imposed and the volumes to be translated.

Our system of organization and our tools for collaboration enable us to guarantee a consistent piece of work, even when several translators engage simultaneously on a project.
